CHIC AND HEEL: LBD

El 5 de octubre de 2011 la película Desayuno con diamantes (Breakfast at Tiffany's) celebró el 50 aniversario de su estreno. Audrey Hepburn ya fallecida no puede ser testigo de este día, pero Holly Golightly su personaje en la película siempre estará en nuestro recuerdo.
Una imagen que a los amantes del cine y de la moda no se nos olvidará en la vida. Una mujer con semblante triste camina hacia su casa, viene cansada de una noche más de fiesta, de repente ve un escaparate de una joyería y se queda mirándolo como si no tuviera otra cosa más importante que hacer en la vida, ¿lo recordais? Desde entonces Tiffany’s se convierte en ruta de culto en esta ciudad americana y el vestido negro que lleva la actriz Audrey Hepburn, el LBD (Little black dress) de Givenchy, ha sido elegido como el mejor vestido de la historia del cine.

Este clásico vestido negro fue diseñado inicialmente por Chanel en 1920 para simbolizar el duelo después de la Primera Guerra Mundial y también fue usado como vestido de luto para las victimas de la gripe aquellos años. Era ceñido pero sin marcar la cintura y llegaba hasta la rodilla.
Para la película Givenchy le dió una vuelta y no sabemos exactamente si Audrey nació para llevar ese vestido o el vestido se creó para ser sólo llevado por aquel cuerpo pequeño y etéreo

For the movie Givenchy it gave to him a return and we do not know exactly if Audrey was born to take this garment or the garment was created to be taken only by that small and ethereal body
